Wouldn’t it be great to park your RV at home? Yes you can, on a private, roomy lot.
by Brandon Simpson and Dan Lawson
Park your RV on your own property? That would be great!
Are you ready to hit the road for a summer getaway? Even with travel restrictions lifting throughout the U.S., vacationing by RV is more appealing than ever. What better way to see the country than from the comfort and convenience of your own recreational vehicle?
Conveniences and Perks
Friends who own motor homes, 5th wheels, travel trailers and other RVs rave about the conveniences. Driving, instead of flying, to your destination has lots of perks. There’s no need to book a hotel room or unpack your gear. You can prepare a meal in the vehicle’s kitchenette, or grill out at a camp site. It’s also a great way to connect with nature and the destinations you’ve visiting. The only downside, we’ve heard, is having to find and put your RV in storage when it is not in use.
What if you could Park your RV at home?
If your home sits on a private, roomy lot, that’s not a problem. Parking the vehicle in your garage or next to your home will save you money on storage fees, while giving you access to your vehicle whenever wanderlust calls.
Custom-Built Homes on Spacious Rural Properties.
At AB Homes, we pride ourselves in constructing custom-built homes on spacious rural properties. Some of our customers seek the extra acreage for exactly the amenity we described—to keep their RV on site. Others want room to stow their boat, stable their horses or bike, hike and hunt to their heart’s content. Building a home on private, large lots has other benefits too. There are no homeowner association fees, and it’s ideal for grilling, gardening, playing with pets and even pitching a tent if you like.
Another great thing about having your RV in the drive?
When you park your RV at home, it can double as an extra office, bedroom or private getaway when you need it! When parking, make sure your RV doesn’t block the sidewalk or obstruct the neighbor’s view, and make sure to follow city codes.
If you’re looking for an expansive lot, with room to park your RV or boat, give us a call. (757) 435-9900 And, if you have land you wish to sell, let us know. We’re always on the lookout for beautiful properties. We’d love to work with you either way.
