Getting to Know Our Clients, One Gift at a Time

Constructing a person’s dream home is an experience like no other—especially when you’re in the custom-built home business. We get to know our clients on a more personal level based on how they want their home to look. One buyer may ask for chair rail and wainscoting in the dining area, because it reminds her of her parents’ home. Another may request a customized lighting design to showcase a treasured art collection.

Gifts from the Heart

Another glimpse into their heart’s desire comes at the final “walk through” of their home. That’s when we discover which charitable program they’ve chosen for our “Gifts from the Heart” program. Beginning with the first home we built, AB Homes has donated $1,000 to the charity of each homeowner’s choice. It’s a way to give back to organizations that are meaningful to our customers, while getting to know a little bit more about them. In 2019, it was our pleasure to donate $21,000 dollars to 16 charities of our clients’ choice, in addition to a separate $500 gift. The funds supported humane societies, children’s hospitals, faith-based organizations, veterans’ groups and health-focused non-profits, among others.

We love what we do, putting people in the home of their dreams. Gifts from the Heart? It’s a small way to say thank you, while spreading a little love.
