Buying a home can be the most stressful purchase in the lives of any family. I have always heard that Building a home can be a “Nightmare!” So, when my wife and I first started looking for our “Forever” Home, Building it was not even an option. However, after months of looking online and preparing a solid list of potential homes to look at with our Realtor (Donna Poplin) from Caldwell Bankers, we were sorely disappointed with every single home. None of them met even most of our needs or some of our wants. We would have had to “settle” for the one that came close. Then Donna tried one more time to convince us to look at a model home and consider a builder. Reluctantly, we acquiesced and met Dan Lawson, the contractor with AB Homes. Immediately, we were impressed with the model, but of course the model looks good. However, Dan pointed to all to surrounding homes on the same street that were also built by Brandon Simpson. Dan drove us to several plots of land that were immediately ready for building and he walked us through their entire process. Needless to say, we walked away much less skeptical and armed with information because we had some decisions to make. We took the next month to consider floor plans and write down every possible question we could think of and then asked Donna to set up a date the following week to start a contract. From start to finish, it took about four hours to go through all the paperwork, answer all of our questions and select every color of cabinet, counter, floor, interior, exterior….everything! On that day we were given a completion date about 145 days later and we were given a full walkthrough at every stage of the project from the first shovel in the ground to the the white glove final walkthrough. The home was finished almost a month earlier than predicted and had met or exceeded every expectation. We LOVE our HOME!! Thanks to Donna’s persistence, Dan and Brandon’s superb Team, and Town Bank, we are now very proud owners of a Wonderful Home!
